The resin is sustainably harvested by gently tapping the base of the plant, releasing a pungent raw exudate. While the resin itself has a sharp turpentine-like scent, the distilled essential oil reveals a beautifully complex, earthy-green aroma that is prized in high-end perfumery and therapeutic formulations alike.

To preserve its integrity and potency, Galbanum must be sourced exclusively from the true Ferula galbaniflua species—never mixed with other Ferula varieties.
