Artisanal Extraction Process

True Batana Oil is rare and precious—its extraction requires meticulous, hands-on work passed down through generations. Each American palm tree produces 10 to 20 fruit clusters annually. The fruits are boiled, hand-pounded, and deshelled to reveal the inner nuts. These nuts are then washed, sun-dried, and cracked manually with stones to extract the kernels, which are cold-pressed to release the oil.

Our process is smoke-free and temperature-controlled to preserve the oil’s natural bioactives, unlike conventional Batana oils that are often heated excessively. The result is a smooth, brown paste, which is then fractionated—a gentle separation process that isolates the light, liquid portion of the oil from the heavier solids.
