Our Elemi Essential Oil is organically steam distilled from the golden resin of the Canarium luzonicum tree — a towering tropical beauty native to the lush rainforests of the Philippines. Harvested during the rainy season when the tree naturally exudes its fragrant oleoresin, Elemi offers an aroma that is peppery, citrusy, and balsamic, with warm, spicy undertones and a drydown reminiscent of Frankincense.

Belonging to the Burseraceae family (alongside Frankincense, Myrrh, and Opopanax), Elemi has long been treasured across ancient civilizations for its spiritual, medicinal, and cosmetic properties.

A Resin with a Rich Legacy

As the Elemi tree bursts into leaf, it begins to produce its honey-colored resin, which solidifies when exposed to air.
